On Thursday evening, July 18, the 2019 Admirals and all the Farragut Baseball family gathered at the Ballpark at Farragut to celebrate winning the 2019 State Championship, which results in another Ball on Wall!! This year’s championship is the 9th since 2003, and 10th overall in program history. It’s also Coach Matt Buckner’s fourth championship in piloting the Admiral Baseball program.
With gametime music playing the background, hotdogs and soft drinks were enjoyed, as everyone gathered back together at the top of the hill, on the sidewalk outside the Scott Dean Fieldhouse.
After a brief welcome and words of thanks from Dugout Club President, Matt Hagenow, Coach Matt Buckner again thanked all the parents and supporters for all the efforts contributing to team success. It’s true — it really takes everyone to win a State Championship. Certainly, talented players and dedicated coaches are necessary on the field. But, parents, boosters, sponsors, supporters, and extended family all help to put the team in the best position to be successful.
After all the remarks were completed, the entire Admiral Family made their way to the right-center field wall where the 2019 State Championship Ball on the Wall was hoisted into place!! Many photos were taken, and have been shared on social media (Facebook: Farragut Baseball)
