An eight-run second inning led Farragut Admirals to a 15-2 victory on Friday in the consolation game of the Florida League HS Invitational Tournament.  The rally was led by doubles by Cooper Schulze, Michael Delph, and Ellis Gleed, singles by Brennon Seigler and Gavin Brewer, and a sacrifice fly by Jake Merrick.

Reid Thomason led things off on the pitcher’s mound for Farragut Admirals (4-1). The pitcher lasted four innings, allowing three hits and two runs while striking out six.

Farragut Admirals collected 16 hits.  Brewer, Seigler, Delph, Jett Johnston, and Cole Draper all managed multiple hits for Farragut Admirals.  Delph, Seigler, and Brewer each collected three hits to lead Farragut Admirals.  Farragut Admirals didn’t commit a single error in the field. Johnston had  seven chances in the field, the most on the team.

The Admirals return to the friendly confines of the Ballpark at Farragut for Tuesday game vs. Knoxville Catholic. Game time is 6:30.
