The Admirals claimed their 29th District championship on Wednesday night, beating crosstown rival Bearden 5-3. The championship is the Admirals’ 21st Championship in the last 24 years.

Michael Delph earned the victory on the mound for Farragut Admirals Varsity. Delph allowed two hits and two runs over three innings, striking out two and walking one. A number of pitchers entered the game as relief, with Eli Miller, Eli Evans, Jaxson Pease, and Johnston all securing outs and ultimately the victory. Pease recorded the last three outs to earn the save.

Farragut (23-11-1, 8-2 D4 4A) got things moving in the second inning, when Jett Johnston launched a mammoth solo homer to straightaway center field.

Farragut Admirals Varsity launched three home runs on the day. Garrett Brewer sealed the win with his four bagger in the third inning. Lukas Buckner had a long ball over the right field wall in the sixth inning. 

Farragut Admirals Varsity saw the ball well today, racking up nine hits in the game.  Seigler and Davila each managed two hits to lead Farragut Admirals Varsity. 

The Admirals advance to play the District 3 runner-up Karns Beavers in the Region 2 4A semifinal. That game will be Monday at the Ballpark at Farragut at 6:30pm.
