Farragut watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in an 11-1 run-rule loss to Heritage on Wednesday, April 27. The final D4 4A contest for the Admirals proved to be a rough one. However, the Admirals had already clinched the top seed in the D4 4A Tournament which begins May 6. They will host the winner of the #4 vs. #5 seed game on May 7.
Farragut (17-10-1, 8-2 D4 4A) struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Heritage, giving up 11 runs.
Heritage scored eight runs in the fifth inning. The offensive firepower by Heritage was led by Luke Johnson, Sean Galyon, Dylan Varitek, Cunningham, and Adsit, who each had RBIs in the inning.
Braylon Hall took the loss for Farragut Admirals Varsity. Hall surrendered three runs on six hits over three and two-thirds innings, striking out three and walking one.
Jett Johnston, Mark Underwood, and Lukas Buckner each collected one hit to lead Farragut Admirals Varsity.
