Farragut stayed in it until the end, but Spain Park pulled away late in a 6-5 victory on Thursday. The back-and-forth game was tied at four with Spain Park batting in the top of the seventh when James Battersby grounded out, scoring two runs.

Farragut (6-5, 1-0 D4AAAA) lost despite out-hitting Spain Park ten to nine. The Admirals knotted the game up at four in the bottom of the sixth inning, when Mark Underwood singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.

Braylon Hall started on the mound for Farragut and allowed eight hits and four runs over five innings, striking out six and walking one. Matthew Kilbey took the loss. The righty allowed one hit and two runs over one and one-third innings, striking out one.

Farragut Admirals Varsity smacked two home runs on the day. Landis Davila went deep in the fourth inning.  Jett Johnson had a four bagger in the seventh inning.
