Farragut Falls to Clarksville Academy Varsity Cougars, L2-7

Playing at Pope John Paul Academy, Farragut scored first on Eli Evans’s single.

In the bottom of the third inning, Clarksville Academy tied things up at one when Harrison Cassle’s sac fly scored one run.

Clarksville Academy pulled away for good with four runs in the fourth inning.  In the fourth Jack Cross singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run, Evan Leonard doubled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run, and Cooper Wallace doubled on a 0-1 count, scoring two runs.

Braylon Hall was on the hill for Farragut. The righthander surrendered five runs on eight hits over four innings, striking out two and walking none.  Jonathan Venero and Matthew Kilbey entered the game from the bullpen, throwing one inning each.

Seigler’s 4-Hit Day Victory Over Pope John Paul

Brennon Seigler collected four hits in five at bats, as Farragut defeated Pope John Paul Academy 26-3 on Saturday.  Seigler doubled in the second, singled in the third, with 2 singles in the fourth.

The hits came early and often for Farragut Admirals (21-6, 5-3 D4 4A) as they pulled away for good with eight runs in the second inning.  In the second Lukas Buckner singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs, Landis Davila doubled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run, Jake Merrick grounded out, scoring one run, Seigler doubled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run, and Cooper Schulze singled on a 1-1 count, scoring two runs.

Farragut Admirals tallied eight runs again in the fourth inning.  Charlie Bozeman, Davila, Jett Johnston, and Seigler each drove in runs during the inning.

Farragut Admirals smacked one home run on the day. Bozeman hit a grand slam in the fourth inning.
