Farragut sailed to an easy victory over Hamilton Heights 12-2 on Thursday in the 2021 edition of the Demarini Class Tournament, played at FHS.

The Admirals (9-0 on the season) got on the board in the first inning when Tanner Kim hit a solo homer.

Farragut put up five runs in the fourth inning. Eli Evans and Angus Pence each drove in runs in the frame.

Hunter Merrick led the Admirals to victory on the pitcher’s mound. The pitcher went three innings, allowing no runs on one hit, striking out five and walking zero. Matthew Kilbey threw three innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Farragut hit four home runs on the day. Hudson Seigler went deep in the sixth inning with a grand slam. Tanner  Kim went yard in the first inning. Pence went for the long ball in the fourth inning. Evans had a four bagger in the fourth inning.

Farragut collected 11 hits on the day. Seigler, Bryce Burkey, and Kim each collected multiple hits for Farragut Admirals Varsity. 

In continuing tournament play on Friday, the Admirals host Science Hill at 12:00 and Upperman at 4:00pm.
