Farragut snatched the lead late in the game in a 9-3 victory over Bearden on Monday. The game was tied at three with Farragut Admirals Varsity batting in the top of the seventh when Brennon Seigler doubled to center on a 1-1 count, scoring the go-ahead run by Lukas Buckner who led off the inning with a single.
Eli Evans led the Admirals (17-9-1, 8-1 D4 4A) to victory by driving in four runs. Evans went 3-for-4 at the plate, driving in runs on a double in the third and a home run in the seventh.
After Seigler’s hit, Garrett Brewer, Eli Evans, and Jack Alley had RBI hits to pad the lead.
Jaxson Pease took the win for Farragut Admirals Varsity. The pitcher allowed two hits and three runs over six innings, striking out six. Eli Miller threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.
Farragut Admirals Varsity tallied 13 hits on the day. Evans, Lukas Buckner, and Seigler all managed multiple hits for Farragut Admirals Varsity. Buckner and Evans all had three hits to lead Farragut Admirals Varsity.
