Farragut grabbed an early lead over CAK in Saturday’s matinee affair, leading to eventual victory, 11-5.  Farragut scored on Landis Davila’s single in the first inning, Charlie Bozeman’s walk in the second inning, Mark Underwood’s sac fly in the second inning, and Lukas Buckner’s single in the second inning.

Farragut (17-5, 3-3 D4 4A) earned the victory despite allowing the Warriors to score three runs in the fourth inning.

Farragut pulled away for good scoring four runs in the fourth inning.  Eli Evans and Jett Johnston both hit 2-run bombs over the left field wall.

Reid Thomason earned the win. The righty lasted two and two-thirds innings, allowing two hits and no runs while striking out one.  Ben Johnson, Kam Sanders, and Brodie Roberts all put in work in relief out of the bullpen, steering their team towards the victory.

Farragut scattered 12 hits in the game.  Buckner, Johnston, Davila, and Jake Merrick each collected multiple hits for Farragut Admirals.  Buckner led Farragut Admirals with three hits in four at bats.

The Admirals return to District 4-4A action on Monday, hosting Heritage at the Ballpark at Farragut. It will be Military Appreciation Night as Farragut Baseball honors our veterans and all the brave men and women currently serving in our Armed Forces.
