Farragut allowed 3 first-inning runs to the HVA Hawks Monday night and couldn’t recover in a 7-2 loss to the Hawks in D4AAA District Tournament action. Hardin Valley Academy scored on a walk by Logan Ozias, a single by Austin King, and a fielder’s choice by Brycen Denton in the first inning.

Connor O’Donnell was the winning pitcher for Hardin Valley Academy. O’Donnell lasted four and two-thirds innings, allowing five hits and two runs while striking out five. Adam Baker threw two and a third innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Carson Mitchell took the loss for Farragut Admirals Varsity. The lefthander lasted three and two-thirds innings, allowing four hits, five runs, 3 ER, while striking out four. Michael Delph came on in relief, pitching the final 3.1 innings, allowing 2 runs, neither of which was earned.

Farragut collected six hits on the day. Brennon Seigler and Angus Pence each had multiple hits.  

The Admirals will host the winner of Tuesday’s 4:30pm loser’s bracket final between Maryville and Heritage. That game will begin at approximately 7:00pm, and will be broadcast on WUCPLP FM99.9, WUCPLP.com. Both of Tuesday’s games will be played at the Ballpark at Farragut.
