The Admirals used the long ball to great advantage in an opening-round win over William Blount on Friday. Angus Pence had the hot bat, tallying four hits and leading Farragut (29-4) to a 13-1 victory over William Blount. Pence doubled in the first, homered in the second, singled in the third, and singled in the fourth.

Farragut got things started in the first inning. Bryce Burkey homered to left on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs. Parker Evans had led off the inning with a single.

Jaxson Pease led the Farragut Admirals Varsity to victory on the mound. The righty pitched all five innings, allowing three hits and one run while striking out six and walking one.

Farragut tallied three home runs on the day. Burkey and DH Eli Evans went yard in the first inning. Pence put one out in the second inning. 

Farragut Admirals Varsity racked up 14 hits. Pence, Parker Evans, and Lukas Buckner all managed multiple hits. 

The Admirals will take on the Bearden Bulldogs, who won over West 9-2. That game is scheduled for Saturday, 5/8/21 at 3:00pm.
