Farragut snagged a late lead and defeated Auburn Varsity Tigers 13-7 in Friday’s first game of a doubleheader for the Admirals in the Hoover Buccaneer Classic.  Farragut was down 6-5 in the bottom of the fifth inning when Landis Davila homered on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs.

Davila led Farragut Admirals (9-3 1-1 D4 4A) to victory by driving in four runs and went 3-for-4 at the plate.  Davila drove in runs on a home run in the fifth and a single in the sixth.

Farragut Admirals notched five runs in the sixth inning.  Farragut Admirals big bats were led by Davila, Lukas Buckner, and Brennon Seigler, who each had RBIs in the inning.

Ryan Wallace started on the mound for Farragut Admirals. The hurler only pitched the first inning, allowing one run on zero hits and striking out one. Braylon Hall, Jonathan Venero, and Matthew Kilbey pitched in relief helping to secure the win.

Farragut Admirals racked up 12 hits.  Davila, Buckner, and Seigler all managed multiple hits for Farragut Admirals.  Davila led Farragut Admirals with three hits in four at bats.
