Farragut snatched the lead late in the game in a 12-8 victory over William Blount on Monday, April 4th. The game was tied at six with Farragut Admirals Varsity batting in the top of the ninth when Jett Johnston singled on a 0-1 count, scoring the go-ahead run. The Admirals sent 10 batters to the plate in the ninth, scoring 6 runs and putting the game out of reach.

There was plenty of action on the basepaths as Farragut Admirals Varsity collected nine hits and William Blount had nine.

Jett Johnston’s grand slam to left-center put the Admirals ahead in the 5th, 6-4. William Blount evened things up at six in the bottom of the sixth inning when Carter Abbot grounded out, scoring one run.

Jaxson Pease started the game on the mound and allowed four hits and four runs over four and a third innings, striking out five. Johnston got the win as the righthander surrendered no runs on one hit over three innings, striking out five and walking one. Matthew Kilbey, Eli Miller, and Kaleb Toon all put in work in relief out of the bullpen, steering their team towards the victory.

Farragut racked up 9 hits in the game. Lukas Buckner and Johnston all managed multiple hits. Buckner led Farragut with four hits in six at bats.

The Admirals are scheduled to return home for Wednesday game vs. Bearden at 6:30 at the Ballpark at Farragut.
