The Admirals defeated the Heritage Mountaineers 11-0 on Wednesday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout in a District 4-4A game at Heritage. Ashton Sulack led things off on the pitcher’s mound for Farragut. The lefty went three innings, allowing no runs on one hit, striking out six and walking one. Reid Thomason pitched the final 2 innings, yielding only 1 hit on 28 pitches, no walks, and 4 Ks.

Jake Merrick led Farragut Admirals (8-2, 1-1 D4-4A) to victory by driving in four runs.  Merrick went 3-for-4 at the plate, and drove in runs on a home run in the third, another home run in the fourth, and a single in the fifth.

Farragut Admirals scored four runs in the fifth inning.  Eli Evans, Merrick, and Landis Davila powered the big inning with RBIs.

Farragut hit three home runs on the day. Davila put one out in the second inning. Merrick had a homer in the third and fourth innings. Farragut racked up 14 hits on the day.  Jake Merrick, Lukas Buckner, and Mark Underwood each collected three hits to lead Farragut Admirals.  

The Admirals travel to Birmingham, AL to play in the Hoover Classic. The Admirals will play Oak Mountain HS on Thursday 7:00CT. On Friday, the Admirals are scheduled to play Chelsea HS at 4:30CT and Auburn HS at 7:00CT.
