The Admirals withstood a late push by Knoxville Catholic in the sixth inning where Farragut coughed up three runs, but held on to win over the Irish 8-3 on Tuesday. Knoxville Catholic batters contributing to the big inning included Adam Osborne and Daniel Parris, with their homers driving in 3 runs.

Farragut (3-2) fired up the offense in the first inning. Jett Johnston’s single to center drove in Brennon Seigler who had reached on a leadoff error. The Admirals added 2 runs in the third inning on RBIs by Jack Alley and Landis Davila.

Jaxson Pease was the winning pitcher for Farragut.  Pease lasted five innings, allowing one hit and no runs while striking out seven on 72 pitches. Michael Delph threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Farragut tallied 13 hits in the game. Lukas Buckner, Landis Davila, Garrett Brewer, Brennon Seigler, and Jake Merrick all managed multiple hits.

The Admirals return to action with their home opener on Wednesday at 6:00pm vs. the Jefferson County Patriots. This will be the first game of the Smoky Bear / DeMarini Invitational. Games in the tournament continue on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Follow the schedule here on AdmiralsBaseball.com.
