Farragut Admirals Varsity jumped out to an early lead on Bearden and captured an 11-0 victory on Saturday.  The game was decided quickly as Farragut scored seven runs in the first three innings.  An error, a two-run double by Cole Morgan, and a groundout by Gabe  Waldrop in the second inning fueled Farragut Admirals Varsity’s offense early.

Patrick Raby recorded the win for Farragut Admirals Varsity. He pitched six shutout innings. He struck out five, walked three and only surrendered two hits.

Farragut Admirals Varsity hit three home runs in the win. The homers for Farragut came when Sam Schulze homered in the third inning (his career first!!), Duncan Pence homered in the fourth inning, and Nico Mascia homered in the sixth inning.

Sam Schulze racked up two RBIs on two hits for Farragut Admirals Varsity.  Gabe Waldrop drove in 3 runs in his 3 trips to the plate.

Lane Thomas ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. He allowed seven runs in 2 2/3 innings, walked one and struck out five.

Farragut Admirals Varsity piled on three more runs in the top of the third. Sam Schulze started the inning with his  two-run blast, bringing home Chase Chambers. That was followed up by Gabe Waldrop ‘s single, plating Cole Morgan.

The Admirals advance in the D4AAA Tournament, taking on the #1 seed Hardin Valley Hawks on Monday, May 5, at 7:30.  That game will be played at Hardin Valley Academy, and will be broadcast on WUCP LP FM99.9, airtime approximately 7:15.
