It was a tight pitcher’s duel Monday night at the Ballpark at Farragut, as two Admirals combined to shut out the William Blount Governors, 2-0. Stratton Scott was the winning pitcher for Farragut (14-4, 3-2 D4 4A). Scott’s pitching line: six innings, allowing three hits and no runs while striking out four.  Scott carried a no-hitter into the 6th inning, when a single to center broke up the no-hit bit. Scott surrendered 2 more singles before an inning-ending double play ended the Governor threat. Draper threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen, striking out all 3 batter he faced.

Justin Bell took the loss for William Blount Governors. He surrendered two runs on six hits over six innings, striking out three.

Farragut Admirals scattered six hits in the game.  Landis Davila and Gavin Brewer each racked up multiple hits for Farragut Admirals.  Davila went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Farragut Admirals in hits.

The Admirals continue their homestand this week with another pivotal game hosting the HVA Hawks, 6:30pm at the Ballpark at Farragut. On Friday the Admirals host Combine Academy at 5:30pm and again Saturday at 11:00am. Saturday’s doubleheader will see the Admirals take on the CAK Warriors at 1:30pm.
