Farragut took an early lead in the 2022 District 4 AAAA season with a home win over Maryville, 9-4. Jack Alley’s based-loaded walk in the second inning, scored the first Admiral run
The Admirals (6-4, 1-0 D4AAAA) pulled away for good with three runs in the third inning in Jett Johnston’s homer to left-center.
Farragut tallied four runs in the fourth inning. Garrett Brewer, Lukas Buckner, Jake Merrick, and Landis Davila all drove in runs in the frame. Buckner continued his hot streak at the plate, going 3-for-4, with 2 runs scored and 1 RBI.
Jaxson Pease earned the win for Farragut Admirals Varsity. The righthander went five innings, allowing three runs on six hits and striking out seven. Eli Miller threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.
The Admirals continue the homestand with a Wednesday, March 30 game versus Hardin Valley at 6:30. On Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, the Admirals travel to Alabama to play in the Hoover Tournament.
