The Admirals and Bulldogs were locked in a tight pitching duel, when the Dogs broke through in the bottom of the fourth inning on Mahan’s solo homer to left. It was the only hit starting pitcher Ashton Sulack and Admirals would surrender but it would hold up.

Ashton Sulack started the game for Farragut Admirals and only allowed the single run and on the only hit the Admirals gave up. Sulack walked 5 and struck out 7 in his 4 innings of work. Reid Thomason relieved for the final 2 innings and held the Bulldogs without a hit, but the Admirals couldn’t muster enough offense to catch the Dogs.

Farragut Admirals still out-hit Bearden four to one.

Braden Suggs got the start for Bearden Varsity Bulldogs. The righty allowed three hits and no runs over five innings, striking out seven.

Jake Merrick, Mark Underwood, Johnston, and Eli Evans each collected one hit to lead Farragut Admirals.

The Admirals return to District 4 action on Wednesday with a game versus Maryville at 6:00pm, which will be played at Colter Grove Middle School in Maryville. The Scott Dean Memorial Tournament will be played Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at the Ballpark at Farragut, as well as CAK, Hardin Valley, and Heritage.
