Michael Delph was brilliant on the pitcher’s mound on Tuesday, as Delph threw a no-hitter to lead Farragut Admirals past Atlantic Varsity Sharks 18-0. This was the Admirals second victory in the Florida League HS Invitational Tournament.

Lukas Buckner led Farragut Admirals (2-0) to victory by driving in four runs.  Buckner went 3-for-4 at the plate.  Buckner drove in runs on a single in the second and a single in the fourth.

In the first inning, Farragut Admirals got their offense started when Jett Johnston homered on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.

Farragut Admirals scored nine runs in the fourth inning.  Farragut Admirals’s offense in the inning came from singles by Buckner, Brennon Seigler, and Jake Merrick, a triple by Charlie Bozeman, a sac fly by Cooper Schulze, and an error on a ball put in play by Ellis Gleed.

Delph lasted four innings, allowing zero hits and zero runs while striking out nine.

Farragut Admirals tallied 13 hits on the day.  Seigler and Buckner each had multiple hits for Farragut Admirals.  Buckner and Seigler all had three hits to lead Farragut Admirals.  Farragut Admirals didn’t commit a single error in the field. Schulze had  nine chances in the field, the most on the team.
