Despite a big day at the dish from Chase Chambers, who finished 2-4, Farragut Admirals Varsity lost 12-3 to CAK on Wednesday. All 3 of  Farragut’s runs were scored thanks to timely hitting by Chase Chambers. He singled in the first inning and homered in the fifth inning.

Cantrell recorded the win for CAK. He tossed two-thirds of an inning of shutout ball. He struck out one, walked none and surrendered one hit.

CAK was sparked by Merry and Zimmerman, who teamed up for seven hits and seven RBIs.

Ben Rutter ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. He pitched just one inning, walked none, struck out two, and allowed two runs.  Farragut pitched virtually the entire pitching staff as a warm-up for upcoming District Tournament play.

The game was never in doubt after the fifth, as CAK scored five runs on a two-run home run by Osborne and a two-run single by Merry.
