Farragut Admirals Varsity shut the door early on Heritage, capturing a 12-2 victory on Friday.  The game was decided quickly as the Admirals recovered from an early 2-run deficit  with 10 runs in the first three innings.

An RBI single by Gabe Waldrop, an RBI single by Roy Mutta, an RBI single by Chase Fullington, a grand slam home run into the trees beyond the left field wall by Duncan Pence, followed by a solo homer by Nico Mascia in the second inning helped Farragut Admirals Varsity put some runs on the board early.

The Admirals hit three home runs in the win.  Chase Chambers added a 2-run dinger just inside the right field foul pole in the third inning.

Bo Baker got it done on the hill on the way to a win. He allowed two runs, none earned, in the five inning affair. Bo struck out six, walked one and gave up three hits.  Two of those hits were in the top of the first, when Heritage scored their 2 runs.  Baker allowed only 1 hit the rest of the way.

Farragut Admirals Varsity hammered Heritage pitching as six hitters had a field day, combining for 10 hits, 10 RBIs and nine runs scored.

McDonald couldn’t get it done on the mound for Heritage, taking a loss. He allowed eight runs in two innings, walked none and struck out two.

Farragut Admirals Varsity pushed across one run in both the fourth inning and the fifth. In the fourth, Farragut Admirals Varsity scored on an RBI single by Gabe , scoring Chandler Chambers.

The Admirals advance in the D4AAA Tournament, taking on the 2nd-seed Bearden Bulldogs at 2:30 Saturday at Phil Garner Ballpark at Bearden.  The game will be broadcast on WUCP LP FM99.9, with air time approximately 15 minutes before the first pitch.
