Farragut Admirals fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 9-2 loss to Hardin Valley Academy Hawks Varsity on Monday. The game was the first D4-4A game for the Admirals and was played at Hardin Valley Academy.  HVA scored on a single by Ty Denton and a wild pitch by Will Webb in the first inning.

Stratton Scott toed the rubber for Farragut Admirals. Scott surrendered seven runs on seven hits over three and two-thirds innings, striking out two and walking one.  Braylon Hall and Cole Draper entered the game as relief, throwing one and one-third innings and one inning respectively.

Farragut Admirals launched two home runs on the day. Eli Evans went yard in the first inning. Jake Merrick had a four bagger in the fourth inning. Farragut racked up six hits in the game.    Merrick and Evans each collected two hits to lead Farragut Admirals.

The Admirals return to D4-4A action on Wednesday with a 6:00 game at Heritage HS.
