Game 1 – Ads W 4-2

Farragut JV took the lead late and defeated Catholic JV 4-2 on Thursday. The game was tied at two with Farragut JV batting in the bottom of the fourth when Myles McFerran hit a sacrifice fly to drive in a run.

Farragut JV took an early lead in the first inning.

Catholic JV knotted the game up at two in the top of the third inning. Caylon Scholem walked Hollin with the bases loaded to drive in a run.

Matthew Delph earned the win for Farragut JV. He pitched one and one-third innings, allowing zero runs, zero hits, striking out two, and walking zero. Tyler Petterson recorded the last three outs to earn the save for Farragut JV.

Scholem started the game for Farragut JV. He tossed two and two-thirds innings, giving up two runs, one hit, and striking out three.

Ryan McCarthy, Myles McFerran, Jake Evans, and Nick Barnes each drove in one run to lead Farragut JV.

 

Game 2 – Ads lose 6-5

Farragut JV lost the lead late in a 6-5 defeat to Catholic JV on Thursday. The game was tied at five with Catholic JV batting in the top of the sixth when.

Farragut JV lost despite out-hitting Catholic JV eight to three, but 5 errors over the game proved costly.

Farragut JV captured the lead in the first inning. Alec Nussbaum singled on a 1-1 count in the first inning, scoring one run.

Farragut JV evened things up at five in the bottom of the fifth inning. Myles McFerran drove in two when he doubled in the fifth inning.

Catholic JV scored three runs in the fifth inning. The big inning for Catholic JV came thanks to a error and a error.

Fitzsimmons earned the win for Catholic JV. He pitched one and two-thirds innings, allowing zero runs, one hit, and striking out two.

Keito Muto pitched the first 3 innings giving up no ERs and 3 Ks for the Ads.
