Brennon Seigler had the hot hand on Wednesday, tallying five hits and leading Farragut Admirals to a 12-5 victory over Maryville.  Seigler had singles in the first, second, third, and fifth innings, and crowned the evening with a seventh-inning double.

Farragut (12-4, 2-1 D4 4A) earned the victory despite allowing the Rebels to score three runs in the third inning.

Farragut got things moving in the second inning, when Mark Underwood singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run.

Farragut Admirals scored five runs in the third inning.  Farragut Admirals’s offense in the inning came from singles by Gavin Brewer, Underwood, and Seigler, a sac fly by Lukas Buckner, and an error on a ball put in play by Eli Evans.

Braylon Hall led the Farragut Admirals to victory on the hill. The pitcher went four and two-thirds innings, allowing four runs on five hits and striking out one.  Cole Draper threw two and a third innings in relief out of the bullpen, allowing 2H, 1ER, 0BB, 5K.

Farragut saw the ball well today, racking up 14 hits in the game.  Seigler, Underwood, Brewer, and Landis Davila all collected multiple hits for Farragut Admirals.

The Admirals are scheduled to play 2022 Class 3A Champion Upperman in the opening game of the 2023 Scott Dean Memorial Tournament on Thursday.
